Why You Should Live Life With A Purpose

Why You Should Live Life With A PurposeWhen you’re living a life with purpose you have a mission. You have
a reason for living.

Think of it this way; when you take a vacation you do it for a
reason and you choose your destination for a specific reason. Some
people will go on vacation to a place like Mexico or some place
warm with sandy beaches because they want to escape the cold and
enjoy a nice warm day on the beach. Some people will go to a city
to visit friends and family because they want to enjoy the warmth,
and good company of their friends and family. Some people will
visit a place like New York because they want to enjoy good food,
theater, a lively city and do some shopping. When ever you plan a
vacation there is a reason for picking the place and time that you
take a vacation - there is a purpose.

Your life should have a similar purpose. When you have a purpose in
life you will enjoy your life a great deal, but more importantly,
you give your mind, your subconscious mind, and your spirit a
mission and a direction. And when they have this reason and
direction they attract and lead you to more opportunities that will
help you fulfill your purpose and enjoy life even more.

Here’s how it works.

When you have a purpose you live life with a positive feeling and
energy.
Your subconscious mind picks up on this feeling, energy and purpose
and begins attracting more situations; people and events that will
help you fulfill that purpose so that you enjoy your life.

As soon as you have a purpose you will automatically draw more good
things and positive, helpful people into your life so that you can
continue to fulfill that purpose.

Discovering Your PurposeIf you find that everyday is the same old thing, you don’t get
excited or you feel that you’re really not living life with any
sense of purpose, don’t feel bad, it’s probably not as bad as you
think and you can turn things around.

What do I mean?

Change the way you see things.

There is a purpose to everyday and each new day has some meaning in
your life, you’re probably just not seeing it. For example:
Suppose you work as a checkout cashier and you go to work everyday
thinking that your job has no purpose and ultimately you feel that
your life has no purpose and you’re just going through the motions.

Now try looking at things a different way. Your job as a checkout
cashier helps people shopping make their payment quickly and
easily. It helps your bosses keep track of what they sell so that
they can measure their profits and pay their employees. Your job
also helps the company make sure that people do pay for what they
want quickly and easily.  You also help the customer make a
decision to and you make their experience a lot more pleasant. Do
you see how what you thought was a mundane job really had a lot of
purpose - at least for that day but only when you look at things a
little differently?

Now I know some of you may say: “That’s great - but I feel like my
life overall has no purpose. Yeah, I can find some purpose in my
job everyday - but I just don’t feel like I’m living with any real
purpose.”

There is a lot that you can do to help you live with purpose.

First take a look at how you spend your day.
Grab a notepad and pen and write out exactly how you spend your day.
You can go hour by hour or minute by minute if you want.

Then take a look and see how many hours have set aside for you -
this is where you get to have some time to yourself where you can
do whatever you want without anyone bothering you.

If you find you have little or no time then you’ve just discovered
one of the reasons why you feel you are not living life with purpose.

Too often I hear from people who say they feel they don’t have any
purpose only to discover that they don’t set aside anytime for
themselves.
I’m not saying that your purpose is to do whatever you want when
ever you want.
But by having some time set aside for yourself you give yourself a
chance to discover your purpose.

You also give your subconscious mind a chance to help you discover
your purpose.

If you fill your day up to the point where you have no time to
yourself then you don’t give yourself the opportunity to discover
your purpose because your too busy doing things that you feel you
have to do and you’re not taking time to enjoy your life.

So set some time aside for yourself.

I know I’ll hear from someone who will say something like: “Karim,
I come home at the end of a long day, I have 3 kids to feed and a
husband/wife to care for. By the time I’m done I barely have energy
or time for anything else.”

Fair enough. I’m not asking you to go out and play football or do
something extremely active.

Take even 5-minutes to yourself.
Read a book, a paper, have a glass of wine, go for a short walk,
read a magazine or a newspaper, go through all those crazy ads they
stuff in your paper on weekends you know the kind that you never
have time to read - now you have some time.
After a week you can stretch the time to 10 minutes. It’s your time
just do something you want to do.

I’m not saying that this is your purpose.
But when you calm down, when you are at some peace, when your mind
and body are at rest, your subconscious mind goes to work because
it is no longer being bombarded with all kinds of stimulus and
information that it really doesn’t need.
Instead, it will help you find ways to enjoy your life and have a
purpose.

Next try looking at your life a little differently this is the
process that I call changing our glasses.

If you wear glasses then you know if you put on a pair that is too
weak or too strong you won’t see so clearly.

If you wear sunglasses that are too dark or too light - how you see
things will also be different.

In the case of the person who has had a long day and has 3 kids to
feed and husband/wife to take care of, well there’s already
tremendous purpose here. That person has 3 wonderful kids, a home
and a spouse who depends on them now there’s a lot of purpose here.

It may not be the ideal life that you want but there is purpose.
And here’s how it gets better when you recognize the purpose you
attract more positive things into your life.

Why?

Because when you recognize the purpose that you have you see things
in a more positive way and this releases a tremendous amount of
positive energy and positive vibrations that are picked up by your
subconscious mind, which in turn attracts more positive situations.
It all starts when you focus on the positive purpose in your life.

Now I know there are some of you who will still say:
“Karim, I do all of that - but I still don’t feel as though I have
any purpose in my life.”
If this is the case then you have to start doing what you enjoy.

Yes you may have kids to feed or someone to care for, and yes that
may be the purpose for now but if you still feel empty then you
have to take some time to do what you enjoy. This won’t necessarily
be your purpose but by doing what you enjoy even for a few minutes
a day you’ll discover or be guided to your purpose.

There is a process at work and part of that process requires that
you enjoy life, relax and understand that what you focus on you
will attract.
Focus on finding your purpose, relax, take some time to enjoy life
and you will discover your purpose.

Change the way you see things.
Focus on the positive aspects of your life and you’ll attract more
positive situations and people.

Make the time for yourself - have some fun in life.
Do things you enjoy.

Working With The Power Of PurposeTo get the most out of your Power Of Purpose you need to think
about your purpose regularly. I don’t mean think about what your
purpose is once a week or once a month.

I mean think about all the positive things that you do everyday
that have a purpose and impact your life and the lives of those
around you.

If you’re a checkout cashier then think about the positive things
that you do everyday.

If you’re a parent then think about all the positive things that
you do.

If you’re an elderly person on disability - then think about all
the positive things that you do during the day and all of the
positive things that you have done.

Every positive thing that you do has a purpose - it has an impact
on you and the people around you.

When you focus on the positive purpose you simply attract more
positive things into your life.

You won’t see changes overnight - although I know some of you would
like to see those changes happen instantly.

You have to give your mind and subconscious mind to work and
attract the situations you need to help you improve your life.

If you do this for a few weeks or months and then stop you’ll end
up back where you are. You have to do this until it becomes a habit
so that you do it everyday for the rest of your life without even
thinking about.

I know there are some of you who will say: “Everyday for the rest
of my life? I don’t have time for that.” Fine - then your next
option is to stay where you are for the rest of your life - and if
where you are is good enough great - enjoy it.

If it isn’t - then you owe it to yourself to make the improvements
and changes that will allow you to enjoy life tremendously. The
Power of Purpose will do that for you.
